MOST ASKED QUESTION: DO YOU HAVE A TIPPY TYPE FOR MY DEVICE?
ANSWER: our current offering of tippy types are designed specifically for the devices listed in our compatibility section! if your device is not listed under our device compatibility section, we DO NOT carry a tippy type that fits your device...yet. as we grow we will expand our product line, so please stay tuned.

A tippy type is an invention for people with longer nails that solves the issue of discomfort and inefficiency while typing. Specifically, it's a modified silicone keyboard cover.
It was designed with people with long nails in mind, but technically anyone can use a tippy type. Even those without long nails can enjoy the comfort and fun that comes with the 3D, velvety feel of a tippy type.
Yes, can you believe it?! Life before tippy type was pretty grim for those with long nails, and even more grim for those who wanted them but couldn't stand the typing challenges. Tippy type is patent-pending, and is happy to finally be here! If you want to learn more check out our ABOUT US page.
We recommend this model of tippy type keyboard cover for up to medium length nails (think medium in the Apres Gel-X extension line...which is quite long!).

tippy types are intended for use with LAPTOPS (Apple) as well as DESKTOP keyboards (Logitech and standard Apple Magic Keyboard)
International customers: Currently all tippy types are made with the USA return key (seen on keyboards sold in the USA; it will not fit European or Japanese return keys). We are in the process of adding international models with different return keys and lettering. PLEASE CHECK YOUR LAPTOP BEFORE PURCHASE.

Please check your model/year. There are small variations in Macbook keyboard configurations in different models/years.

If you have one of the following models/years you will have a PERFECT fit:

If you have one of the following models/years be aware that your esc key will be partially covered by a tippy type esc key but it will still work great and this does not impact functionality!

Note for touchbar models: your touchbar includes an esc key so you will not use the tippy type esc key. Also, your right/left arrow keys will be partially covered by the tippy type right/left arrow keys but, again, this won’t greatly impact overall functionality.
MacBook Air 13” 2018, 2019 Note: your right/left arrow keys will be partially covered by the tippy type right/left arrow keys but, again, this won’t greatly impact overall functionality.
iPad - perfect fit for an iPad 13", does NOT fit smaller iPads
iMac - fits the Apple Magic Keyboard WITHOUT numeric pad

Ordering your tippy type on preorder is the best way to make sure you are first to receive yours when we get them in stock! We can't wait for you to get yours!

- Just use water and a damp cloth to remove any dust/dirt.
- If you want to use a soap, use a mild soap. We do not recommend using harsh chemicals as this could affect the lettering.
- When not using, ideally store your tippy type in the protective case. This keeps dust off and prevents damage from any direct and long exposure to the sun which may cause discoloring.
- Remember to remove your tippy type before trying to close your laptop! Tippy types are not intended to stay on your laptop while closed.
- The primary function of a tippy type is to assist your typing. It will provide some protection to your keyboard but it is not meant to fully protect it from spills etc.
- Keep your tippy type away from children – not a toy!

- You can return your item within 30 days of receiving it. After 30 days, we will no longer accept returns. We do not offer exchanges.
- You will receive a refund of the product price you paid minus the cost of return shipping. The original cost of shipping your tippy type to you is non-refundable.
- To start a return process, please email returns@tippytype.co and we will email you a return label via USPS to ship your item back to us.
- Please put your order number in the subject line and we will be in touch with next steps. Please allow up to 3-5 business days for a reply. Please check your junk/spam folder if you do not receive an email back from us shortly after reaching out.
- Once we receive your item please allow 10-14 business days to issue your refund. We appreciate your patience during this time. Thank you!

If you have Route Insurance on your order, you should be eligible to file a claim with them at claims.route.com
Domestic Orders - You will need to wait until you are seven days past the last scan to submit a claim.
International Orders - You will need to wait until 20 days after the last scan
You must submit a claim within 60 days of your package’s last scan, so do not wait!

If you have Route Insurance
You can get a refund or replacement for your order. You can go here to begin filing a claim. We recommend you apply to do this as soon as possible.
If you opted out of Route Insurance
First, check the address on the order and confirm that you entered the correct address. Once your item ships, it is in the hands of the carrier. It may have been delivered to a neighbor, stolen, or still sitting in the back of a delivery truck. Please get in touch with your post office or speak to your mail person.
The package often arrives at the correct address within a week, but we cannot issue replacements or returns for items marked as "delivered."
Please contact us at support@tippytype.co as soon as possible. Our order fulfillment is incredibly fast so we are not able to guarantee that we will be able to correct your mistake even if you email us right away.
If an item ships before your address is corrected you will need to wait for us to receive the item back for a refund.

We offer Route package protection automatically on all orders to protect against this issue. You can file a claim directly with Route to get a refund or a replacement.
If you opted out of this protection, there is nothing we can do to help you with this issue.
If an order is returned back to us because it was unable to be delivered or the carrier is unable to locate your address, please email us at support@tippytype.co and we will do our best to get you an item. There are often signifiant delays in the item being returned to us by the carrier so you may have to wait a bit for it to be returned if we are not in stock with a replacement to send asap.
ROUTE INSURANCE
Route is a shipping insurance company that covers packages that are lost, stolen, or damaged in transit.
If you opt out of purchasing it with your order we cannot help you if your package is lost, stolen or damaged.
DON'T, but if you have opted out of Route insurance, we cannot opt your order in after it is placed.
All orders will automatically have this insurance on them. We DO NOT recommend you remove this since we cannot provide replacements or refunds for missing/stolen/lost packages if Route is removed.
To make a claim, please go to claims.route.com. You must submit the email and order number from your order to proceed.
Yes! As long as Route is purchased it will cover both shipments. If you order an in-stock item and a preorder item in the same order and purchase Route at checkout, Route will cover both shipments.

IN STOCK - If we are in stock and shipping we are not able to accommodate changes to an order (adding or removing items). Our fulfillment is too fast to catch these in time. Please make sure to confirm your cart before submitting your order.
